What are the best fine dining restaurants in San Diego area?

I'll be staying in San Diego 2 miles from Sea World and wanted to know any great/unique/special -places to eat. We'll be visiting the Zoo, Mission Beach, USS Midway, and Seaport Village. Any great restaurants in those areas? Best kept secret? We are willing to drive a little out of the way. We live in Las Vegas and would like an experience we can't get here. Thank You!!

Donovan's Steak and Chop House...  Its delicious if you like steak.  Kinda pricey but we go for my birthday every year... and it is fun to dress up :)

If you go up to LaJolla you can try George's at the Cove for Oceanside dining or just drinks.  They have three levels to choose from with a different vibe on each.  Make sure to get there before sunset!  http://www.georgesatthecove.com/    

In Balboa Park (close to where you will be staying) there is a fantastic restaurant called the Prado.  It is in the middle of the park with amazing architecture and a great patio.  They used to have happy hour from 4 or 5 to 6 or 7 Tues - Friday where you can get cheap wine and apps.  (You should call to see if they still do)  They have valet right outside of the restaurant.  http://www.cohnrestaurants.com/cohn/cohn...
