What are the best games to play in a casino?

I'm going to the casino tonight and I'd like to play something different than video poker or slots. I've tried Three Card Poker at one of the tables, but the minimum bet is pretty high. Blackjack isn't really my game. Other suggestions?

  1. If the table minimum at three card poker is too high for you, then the minimums at all tables will probably be too high for you.  The price to play tables seems higher than the price of slots but the truth is, it is proportional.

I want to suggest you learn to play craps.  It is the most fun and exciting game in the casino.   Although the table minimum seems higher than you are accustomed to, once you understand the game you will see that the amount you actually spend on craps is comparable to what you spend on slots.

Slot machines usually have a high house advantage and a low variance.  That means you lose regularly and steadily as the day goes on.  By the end of your visit you have lost your bankroll.  Craps has a low house advantage and a high variance.  That means that you are likely to lose about the same amount as slots in the long run, but in the short-term your wins and losses will wildly variable.  So when you play craps you should have a buy-in equal to, at least, 100 units ($5 unit, $500 buy-in).

Take a lesson in the casino.  Many casinos will offer formal lessons for beginners.  In any casino the dealers will be happy to teach a player who is polite and willing to tip.  If you want to be taught by the dealer, chose a game and time of day when there are only a few others playing; you don't want to be alone or at a very busy game when you are asking questions.

  2. The pass line and don't pass line with odds at the craps table are the best bets in the casino. After that, baccarat (or mini-baccarat) is the next best game (since you don't like blackjack).

Keep in mind that in most casinos, the minimum bet for almost all table games is at least $10. If that's not in your budget range, you're pretty much stuck with machines.

FYI, Roulette has the highest house edge of any table game. Play it if you think it's fun, but realize that you've got a better chance of winning at pretty much any other game.

  3. If it's just for fun (and it should be anyway!) have a go at Roulette :)

  4. The penny machine

  5. Well, Black Jack & Poker are not only games of chance, but of skill also, whereas the slots are total games of chance.

If your going for fun, play roulette, if your going in hopes of having fun & winning possibly a little play Black-jack or Poker, if your going to try to win alot of money, thinking you can beat the Casino's, stay home.

  6. I like Caribean Stud, Poker, and if you are in Vegas Crazy Poker
