  1. he needs to be there to get the feel for the clubs also the most expensive is not always the best its all up to each person to see what feels the best take your time looking u also want to find a place where u get 30 day exchange on the clubs you have to play a few rounds to see how they play thst's only way to tell if their the ones to keep

  2. How much your willing to spend for the clubs? If your willing to spend like $1000, My advice to you is give him a gift card from Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy (Golf Shop). He have to buy the club sets that is suited for him, he needs to be get fitted. Don't just buy the club for him. Just give him a gift card. Good Luck!

  3. The expensive brands are Taylor Made, Callaway, Nike, Cleveland to name a few.  Probably not necessary for a beginner.  A full set will usually include 1,3,5 woods 3-9iron , pitching wedge.  Then you'll need a putter of course. Oh and a bag to carry them in.

  4. expensive- get him a taylor made woods set, cleveland or nike irons, cleveland wedges, a taylor made hybrid, and a white hot putter

cheaper- go into any sports stores that hold golf clubs and ask them for any good cheap clubs; there are tons of different good knock off brands

  5. If you know nothing about golf, I have two suggestions.

Expensive---Go to a street golf shop, Taylormade, Callaway, Nike or Cleveland. They will help you to choose a comfortable club.

Cheap ---You can search on google. I usually visit some professional golf online shop.

  7. As your bf is only a beginner maybe it is best not to go for the most expensive things you can find. A good set of clubs would include Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 3 iron to 9 iron, PW and SW. The old Nike Sling Shot irons are really good and forgiving, I've had mine for about five years and I've gone from a 18 handicap to a 1.9 handicap. Hope this helps.

    Have a good one...
