  1. Best place to get cables as far as I'm concerned is monoprice.com.  You can get a 5 dollar HDMI cable, and it works great.  Do not buy Monster c**p.

Beaver above me is not talking about these cables.  Search out monoprice.com on www.avsforum.com and you'll see all of the guys that use these cables opinions.

  2. HDMI 2.0

Everyone will swear that one brand is better than the other, but besides junk $5 cords, any will give you a great picture. The best way to go is to your local computer supply store (not best buy, a real computer store) and buy a set there. It cost me $25 for a 6' cord.

The unlike in component/ rca cables, the image and sound is sent by a digital signal (a bunch of 11000101100100010..etc.) and not an analog signal. Therefore, any outside interfernce will not affect picture like it used to on rca cables.

Remember to buy the HDMI 2.0 cable and not the regular, and hopefully you can grab a cord and not spend money and over fist to get your tv looking great

  3. No, you shouldn't spend more than about $10-15 on HDMI cables.  The fancy expensive gold cables are a ripoff.
