  1. The "best" is a subjective thing. So nobody can answer your question without knowing what your needs are.

Things you will need to consider are :

-Locality [ transport convenience , costs and time are important factors ]

-Value [ what do you get for your money - amenities , facilities , service , free inclusions ]

    - Reputation and Standards [ Star Ratings ]

-Last Minute or way in advance - when are you going ?

-What do you call Central London ? The West End central entertainment district, the central financial district.

To best help yourself you need to do this yourself wit ha site that can answer all of these things. If you try this site they have filters , maps and photos with prices , much like other sites, but they also have last minute deals which could represent good value.

Here's some locations that might help :

    London : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

    London City [ financial area ]  : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

    London Kensington Area [ Shopping ] : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

There's others other sites, but this one seems to have enough to choose from with over 500 hotels apparently.

  2. You can try hotel search in http://www.AmericaCheapHotels.com where you can read hotel reviews and comments, see photos and its physical locations through maps ...

Best thing is you can compare the USA/worldwide hotel prices in any city in any country in your local currency.

You can find good deals because this compares hotel prices from 30 best travel websites.

You can even able to filter out hotel by its features such as Star hotels,Business Center, Room Service, High-speed Internet, Fitness Room, Restaurant Parking, Swimming pool, Pets Allowed, Airport shuttle, Handicap Accessible, Concierge.

Access lots of USA and worldwide travel information.

  3. - The Strand Palace may not be a great hotel, but it is centrally located. It is also very large so there is frequently a room.

    - Premier Travel Inn is the largest chain of budget hotels in the UK. The locations in central London are frequently booked (the best location is in County Hall next to the London Eye, but they have a number of good locations within walking distance of tube stations outside of central London.

    - Thistle hotels is a mid-level chain with 41 locations (many in central London). They are usually not cheap, but they are less than the hilton and sheratons and radisson.

  4. You don't specify a price range so no idea what you consider expensive.  The best hotels are ones such as the Covent Garden Hotel, the Ritz, Claridges etc.  Rooms are around £350 a night.  The Malmaison is a very luxurious hotel and is from £245 to £550 a night for a suite.  If you are on a budget then www.laterooms.com is the place to go.  One Aldwych is £225 on there and it's a 5 star hotel.   You can get hotels from £40 a night but they will be 2 star and very basic.

  5. St Giles hotel, we stayed there for 1 night at the beginning of this year and a double room with a cot for our little one cost just under £100.

I would definately stay there again if I needed a hotel in central london again.

  6. ANY good hotel in central London is NOT going to be CHEAP... you can expect to spend $300 PER NIGHT and UP.  There are some cheap hotels, but you have to go out from city center... there used to be some cheap places near Victoria Station and up in Islington.

  7. Lassiters Hotel is a very very nice Hotel.

    I would give it 10/10.

  8. OMG! the ritz!!

    it's expensive though!

but very very very posh inside!
