  1. I would recommend two - though you will find my other picks on my site - http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-...

    Hotel Cipriani.

The better of the two top luxury hotels Venice can offer is the Hotel Cipriani.  No other hotel in Venice  can match the splendor of this luxury hotel. The hotel is set amidst magnificent gardens and vineyards which produce an excellent wine. The rooms are all magnificent but the Dogaressa Suite is particularly splendid. The suite offers gorgeous views of St. Mark's square and is decorated with original Coromandel screens and Fortuny and Rubelli fabrics.

    The Hotel Danieli Venice

Located in a magnificently restored 14th century palace right on the doorstep of St Marks the Hotel Danieli is my second favourite Hotel in Venice. The hotel is the perfect place to stay for those looking to visit Venice in the graceful style of yesteryear. Marble, chandeliers and elegant gold leaf columns are the order of the day.

  2. Beautiful location for a honeymoon!

Take a ferry down the grand canal at night .  "Get lost" and explore the narrow alleyways - you'll be delighted by glimpses of hidden wonders. There is no better way to enjoy Venice than wandering around - getting away from the tourists.  Staying on the Island is a definite must - after the tour groups & guides leave, a different atmosphere settles over the island.

Go visit as many times as you can - it is sinking after all.

  3. conley39  has got right again... if you can afford it go to the Cip.

My tip is for your to go to San Clemente Palace: http://sanclemente.hotelinvenice.com/?so...

  4. If you can afford it, the absolute best place in Venice is the Hotel Cipriani - in the Dogaressa Suite http://www.hotelcipriani.com/web/ocip/oc...

Either building at the Hotel Bauer is good - http://www.venere.com/hotel/index.php?ht... and http://www.venere.com/hotel/index.php?ht... The hot tub on the roof is a nice touch and it's on a canal with lots of gondolas. It's close to Piazza San Marco.

A less expensive option in the same area is the Hotel San Moise http://www.venere.com/hotel/index.php?ht...

  5. you can try an apartment there are some amazing properties you can rent. I've used this company before http://www.holiday-velvet.com/venice We stayed here on my anniversay and the views across the Grand Canal were amazing http://www.holiday-velvet.com/venice/ven...

  6. hotel degli angeli

it's a house turned into a hotel with unbelievable rooms and amazing service, held by the nicest lady ever. she even provides you with not-too-touristy itineraries that you can go through.

i think that if you look at the website you will understand what i am talking about.
