Well, Im just going to start rollerblading but Im not sure which skates to buy since the areas where I can skate are not smooth at all!! and money isnt a problem but Im just starting so I cant attempt to do any agressive skating yet.

What skates would be the best for me to buy? any tips are very welcome

  1. Fit is critical.  Try on many skates to see which ones fit best.  They should be snug all around without pinching the toes.  You want them to act as part of your feet with no movement between the two.

The two major brands of quality recreational and fitness skates are K2 and Rollerblade.

Larger wheels will roll over rough areas smoother.  My suggested minimum for good skates is 80mm wheels.  90s will be smoother but are harder to learn on.

Aluminum frames are better than plastic.
