What are the best jobs for people who like to improve things?

I like improving things and thinking about improving things: people, places, ideas, society, things. What are the best jobs for people who like to improve things?

I like changing things in productive or destructive ways. It's fun to create and destroy. Hmmm sounds like construction but I like working with one or two people. What jobs allow you to change people in one on one or small group settings? Life coach maybe or counceler?
