What are the best kind of clothes to wear when in Tokyo for Jan-Apr?

Jan-Feb: coat, scarf, gloves, and hat. Most days will be cold and dry - not brutally cold but still cold enough to want winter wear. Sometimes it snows.

Mar-April: it will be warming up as time goes by so you won't need the gloves and scarf as March progesses and the coat can be reduced to a jacket. It will be chilly at night though especially in March and sometimes it will rain and be windy.

I often wear a coat and scarf till about early to mid March depending on the temps which can vary every year. Some days will be warmer than others.

not sure in Jan.  but in April there were very cold days, rainy, and warm.

basically the temp there is between 10 - 25 During Jan to Apr.
