What are the best make of swimming goggles?

I have tried lots of goggles from different manufacturers, and they all either leak, fog up, or hurt my eyes.

My current pair are a pair of "one piece" Speedo Pacifics, and were in the mid-price range at 12 euro. They suck on to my eyes ok, but start to leak after only 1 or 2 laps.... I've tried adjusting the straps, but to no avail.

Any recommendations? What brands do the competitive swimmers go for?

  1. try cressi -sub they are to be found on alot of sites like www.primscuba.com or www.leisurepro.com

  2. I am a competitive swimmer and I used the Speedo Hydrospecs until someone decided to steal them.

I am currently using some random brand: dolfino. They work pretty good, probably b/c my head is bigger than what these things are made for. But w/e. Competitors normally head for the Speedo but I have seen some random brands out there. It really is a personal choice. Keep in that price range that you are at. My first Speedo goggles, the Hydrospecs, were about US$15.

  3. you should try zoggs, they are very comfatable for training (i mean very) and work well during race.

Other good brands are speedo (obviously) and areana is not bad. i used to use zoggs, stolen, then speedo, stolen, now arena, the only problem is that if i pull the string thing to tighten it, the strap can come of, but just takes 2 seconds to put on. it doesnt come of in races at all, and its very comfatable, and uv protectant, which is important - but i swim in indoor pool so it doesnt matter to me.

oh yea, its better if the suction is the same material (i think), just its more flexible  instead of some foam suction cups - which are comfatable but not for competetive swimming and they dont look "fast!"

    hope it helps m8!

  4. I use either TYR Socket Rockets, Vanquishers, or the Sweedish goggles. The Socket Rockets are like 7 U.S. dollars. Vanquishers around 15 U.S. dollars. And the Sweedish Goggles (sweeds) go for like under 6 U.S. dollars.

  5. Most googles you find in the store are rip offs =/ i love speedos swimming goggles and lane4. Im not a professional but i am a good swimmer that used to swim. And im 14. Either try lane4 or another type of speedos

yeah i just searched lane4 and the site doesn't have many options when i used to swim, at saftey swim (no doesn;t mean i was a baby i actually was pushed like anyone else to swim and everything in training. Thats another story but i was young then.) You may be able to buy it at sports shops.... i think ( D I C K S ) or sports authority? 0.0

  6. try another type from speedo, and also, make sure that the goggles that you get are high quality and are not flimsy. i don't really now what you can do for the fogging. Maybe with the problem that they leak after one or to laps could mean that   the sucky thing doesn't attach to the goggles to well. TIP:don't buy your goggles online, cuz you may not be able to tell if they are good or not! HOPE THIS HELPS!

  7. Check out the Speedo Vanquisher model, or something similar. Make sure the nosepiece is adjustable, and also make sure that the cup fits inside the eye socket, not over it. Also try on a pair of Swedish goggles. They are the kinds that  have 2 plastic eye cups, a piece of rubber, and a string, and you assemble your own.

And if size is an issue, don't hesitate to use a Jr. or womens model to get a good fit.

For the longest time I wore the womens model because of a better fit.

  8. SPEEDO GOGGLES
