I just watched Beaches with Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey and it is amazing - truly a lovely story of friendship between two girls who became women

Are there any stories about two men who stand by each other as friends and that is the main theme?

I am g*y and yes I know Brokeback Mountain but I'd like to know if there are novels, movies or poems about friendship between males that do or do not have sexuality as a theme

Ideally not sexuality - just true blue friendship

Well there is Reign Over Me with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. I think that movie is pretty good. =)
