My dream job to compose contemporary songs for artists. I want courses in composition and arranging. I've been told to get a Bachelor's degree in music. I'm trying to decide whether I should stay in the U.S. or look for a college in Australia. I have family and friends there and would love to have a big scenery and atmosphere change. But, if I could get a better education and have a better change at succeeding here, then obviously I don't want to make a mistake by moving there. I've heard that the University of Sydney and Melbourne both are good, but I haven't heard anything about their music programs. Please help anyone! I desperately need recommendations.

  1. Campbellsville University in the United States is the highest ranking university

  2. I've been spending time in Melbourne in the last two years. The Victorian College of the Arts is the city's most prestigious performing arts school, including Music. www.vca.unimelb.edu.au. It has an affiliation with the University of Melbourne.

Well if you don't want to travel too far, why not head for Berklee College of Music in Boston? I'm making the move to San Francisco in a few months time.
