What are the best neighborhoods to live in Houston Tx?

My husband and I are looking to relocate to Houston TX and are not too familiar with the city. While looking on Realtor.com, there are many wonderful homes, but I want to make sure they are in a decent neighborhood. We will be starting a family, so a family oriented neighborhood with good schools is very important. Any help would be great. (Serious help, please.). Thanks.

Kingwood and the Woodlands

Houston is huge, so there's a lot of good neighborhoods to choose from.  On the north side, Kingwood and the Woodlands and a lot of Spring are good family-friendly suburbs.  There's good areas inside town itself, but of course they'll tend to be pricier, and commutes in Houston don't tend to be too bad, since the city keeps widening and adding to the major streets.  Other neighborhoods are good too but those are the ones I know better.
