The best one is actually Zocalo, next would be Balak, and Tangaloo. As for la Plaza it depends as there are bars there for every taste in music and the kind of people that go there, so you should try bar hopping and se which one you like the best. There are a couple of cultural dive bars near Revolution Ave. such as Dandy del Sur, Bar Turistico, Bar La Estrella and Las Pulgas. The bars on Revolution Ave. are disgusting and only pochos, sailors, and all other kinds of violent people go there, I don't recommend this area at all. But to be honest the coolest bar in town just for drinking and having a good time is probably The Red Lion, but it's reservation only, and they still pack it full of nice people and extremely good looking money hungry mexican chicks.

It depends... locals go to La Plaza which a eclectic mix of bars. If you are on the snub side go to Balak or Tangaloo... of course there is the embarrassing Revolucion Avenue specially designed for lonely marines and no good 'pochos'.
