If you are not skilled and just looking for something to tide you over the summer than you'll probably not get much more than minimum wage.  If you have a skill such as secretarial then you could get temp jobs through an agency.  You might even get some as a receptionist if you're well presented and have a nice telephone manner.  It really depends what you want to do.  There is usually some casual work in bars and restaurants where the majority of the pay is made up by tips.
