I am single and I hate traveling alone so I would also like to bring a girl with me, if I meet one of course. So I would like to travel to places that are beautiful so I can take lots of pictures but not too borring because I want to have a good time if I happen to have someone with me. Do you know of any great places to go?

I've already been to Boracay but was not too impressed, maybe because it was raining for half my trip. What other places are there? I will be going there sometime next year so it will no longer be the rainy season when I go there.

  1. Dude Boracay gets tiring, too many tourists and vendors selling you things every few feet.

    Here's a dirty and quick itinerary -

arrive in Manila - stay 2 days: Visit the night spots in Malate, Makate, Ortigas, get a girl. Tour intramuros, walk along Rizal park, take pictures... of the jeepneys...

fly to coron in northern palawan. stay 2 days: take a hot spring bath, go back to your hotel and... find a girl. next day take an island/safari tour - tell your hotel in advance you want to do this.

fly or go by ship to Puerto Princessa, palawan - stay 2-3 days. tour the pristine white islands, take the underwater cave tour, city tour, penal colony tour. nightlife and get a girl. walk along the harbor, it's really nice.

now go to el nido, palawan - stay 2 days and relax. no nightlife. just relax and take pictures of nature. or bring a girl from puerto princessa as your translator.

fly to cebu - stay near mactan island - stay 1-2 days. take a city tour. have fun. enjoy the girls.

take a ship to bohol - stay 2-3 days - take an island tour, see the chocolate hills (overrated), the bee farm, the cave, the river tour,  stay in one of the beach resorts. get a girl. have fun.

That's about 2 weeks worth of travel. if you have more time....

try pearl farm in Davao or Baguio to the north. Pinatubo is nice... but it takes hours to hike up there... forget taal volcano, if you actually go to the volcano and see the hole that would be cool, but most likely all you will see is a small heap of a volcano from far away. what's nearby is one of the ruined houses of ferdinand marcos... you gotta pay a peso or something to take a p**s in the toilet...

when traveling in the provinces, you should know this already but.... it's really cheap man! everything is cheaper. and bring toilet paper wherever you go.

try the links below, especially the wowphilippines site that has info on each region, festivals, and photos.

    have fun!

  2. definitely not downsouth

  3. Pampanga - Christmas capital

Boracay, Puerto Galera, Palawan, Subic - the nice place to go sun bathing and the breath-taking white sand beaches!

Manila - Capital of the Philipines

Baguio city - summer capital of the Phi(cold weather), where the famous rice terraces lies.

Bohol - The where the brown hills become green and gren becomes brown - the chocolate hills

  4. sagada, mountain province is a good place for anyone to go. (that's what i alway say hehe)

but if you're not into trekking and mountain climbing, this is definitely not a good place for you. the weather there is cool like spring.

you could also go to palawan, if you prefer beaches and some snorkeling and diving.

boracay is already crowded so better try these places.

  5. Bohol is a good destination -- the Loboc River, the chocolate hills, interesting indeed.

  6. To iloveJAP, the rice terraces is not located in Baguio. Rice terraces are found in Ifugao, Sagada, and other provinces in Cordillera but definitely not in Baguio City, my hometown.

Anyway, if you're into rafting, swimming, scuba diving, Palawan is a nice place to visit. If you love hiking, trekking, and spelunking, as someone above me suggested, Sagada Mt. Province is the place to be. I can't suggest any other places I haven't been too.

  7. Boracay

    Manila

  8. try hiking mt mayon when its dormant. the only perfect cone volcano. and mt pinatubo has this lake rich in sulfur but it looks pretty from the pictures i've seen. its not like you're gonna burn with the sulfur.

bohol has chocolate hills. pangasinan has the hundred islands. aurora province has some nice waves.

the philippines is like half-discovered. it has more to offer than crowded boracay.

  9. try boracay again on a sunny day!
