What are the best places to raise children?

what about washington dc? what are the best places to raise children? like places that have more whites than blacks..

Not a big city, with nature, pure air,  and a place that the climate is good ( winter not so cold and summer not so hot),

a place that there is not so many people but also that is near to hospital or police in case.

i am fairly young myself so i hope this help. i think the best place to raise a kid is a smaller town, that is close to the city. i live in one and love it we have a low crime rate and all the main stores and schools are in one area but we still have all the luxuries of the city because its only a 20min drive. and for the house itself get one in a culsdesack your that way you have way less traffic on the street because only like five families need to use it. hope this hepls ;)

Do your homework and start researching statistics online. When you narrowed it down to say 5 to 10 places, visit them yourself and talk to people in stores, libraries and schools. If you can't visit try to call all the above. I would still visit before I'd move though.
