What are the best places to snow ski in Chile and Argentina?

Also when is the best time to go, and what is there to do besides winter sports?

In Argentina the best place to hit the snow is Bariloche which is south of Buenos Aires, a very beautiful city which is often called the Switzerland of South America.

In Chile there is Farellones, which is a 45 min drive from Santiago, however the snow season is very short.

Have visited both and I'd recommend Bariloche if you want to do some real skiing.
