  1. Hi India being a large country monsoon has different shades in different parts. North in hills to Pachmarhi(MP) in central India to Goa in west to Northeast India in east, all will show huge different shades of Nature.

In my opinion Pachmarhi in Madhya Pradesh gives you all in one place. Hills, moderate temprature, forest reserve and wilderness with not much modern amenities support. Interiors of MP are simply from Lion King landscapes.

  2. Ya ! Of Course, It is  Kerala is the one and only place in the whole world!

    It is God's own country!

The sweet aroma of beach sand and rain water will be delirious for you.Come to Trivandrum Where the Lord Padmanabha lies on the Searpeant King Anantha.Defintiely,You will love it!

  3. Lonavala & khandala , Pune  is the best place to visit during monsoons . you will really enjoy the mansoon at Bhushi dam (famous step water fall ) , Tiger pt. , Valvan dam & lot of water falls with chhikki

  4. Dear

              Good Morning,

During the monsoons season the best places  of India

    are the following.

In the Kerala states are Iddukki,Malampuza,Bharathapuza,Kuttanad,...

    Velikayyal.

In the States of TamilNadu are Kanyakumari,Kuttalamaruvi,

  5. During monsoon, Of course Kerala is best in South India (Starting from Middle of June and mostly upto the Middle of September)

    Especially Backwaters in Kerala

You can prefer to see the districts "Kottayam", "Alappuzha" & "Ernakulam" for the same. Kumarakam in Kottayam Dt is fantastic location. Also, Elaveezhapoonchira in Kottayam, Koottikal in Kottayam, Hills in Pathanamthitta, Backwaters of Alappuzha, Kollam Backwaters, Ponmudy in Trivandrum, Nelliyampathy in Palakkad, Silent Valley in Palakkad, Siruvany in Palakkad, Hilla Areas of Kannur & Wayanad, Rural areas of all over the state, are great in the monsoon season. Have a journey and feel it.

  6. Obviously Kerala and Goa.But Goa would be a better option and the monsoon in Kerela in the initial stage is like a thunderstorm and for a non-keralite to survive there could be a challange. Also the north-east with it's scenic beauty can also be considered.

  7. I have not travelled all of India, but of the place I've been to, the Sunderbans in West Bengal is best to visit during the monsoon. There you can see Royal Bengal Tigers and also get fresh Hilsa (Ilish machh) from th eponds and sea. Try it out, and discover rural Bengal!

  8. In my opinion Goa is the best place during monsoon. The realy beauty and grandeur of Goa is in its height during the rainy season. The rivers joyfully overflow with their rushing streams, the trees dance to the tune of the winds, the montains and fields cover themselves with a verdant green carpet ready to welcome you to the land of eternal beauty. Monsoon in Goa means sudden bursts of torrential downpowers which usually lasts for a short time, succeeded by bright sunshine with lights up the country in brillian colours. swimming in the sea is out of question but walking barefoot along the beach and listen to the roar of the ocean and feel the rain and the salt spray splash on your face its a great feeling.  Or just sit in the apartment by the sea and watch hear the ocean roaring.

  9. Trivandrum, Kerala is a great place to visit during the monsoons. Though the Sea is too rough to swim , one can enjoy the downpour in any of the Beach side hotels which give a discounted fare during the monsoons. One can see the thunderstorms rolling in from the ocean and colliding against the Aghastya mountains(western ghats) 40kms from trivandrum. One can also see the swollen rivers rushing into the sea. The sea batters the seawall constructed to protect the coastline and most of the fishermen stay at the shores. Though Kerala is verdant throughout the year, monsoons is the time for filling of the resorvoirs and full greening of the trees. There is minimal waterlogging due to instant run off of the rainwater into the ocean.

  10. First of all we should understand that the monsoons can be very ferocious in certain parts of India. Hence avoid the jungles ( snakes and leeches), mountains ( landslides but no good views) and the riverine plains ( floods). I think goa and kerala are easily the winners. Maybe  one should also consider the konkan coast ( mangalore area). The things to be enjoyed are: 1) The greenery. It is so green that it sometimes looks rather unreal. Apart from the tarred roads and the cemented areas, every inch will be green, and every leaf will be green and dancing in joy. 2) Lack of crowds and hence having acres of pristine countryside or miles of beaches all to yourself. 3) Off-season discounts !! You should be bold enough to walk out or cycle in the rain and get soaked to the skin. It is a strangely wonderful and liberating experience. Be careful with your camera and other electronic items- save them from the water. Do not venture out in the seas or the rivers if you are a plain vanilla tourist. Good luck!!

  11. Southern part of india is the best place to visit during monsoons as its really wonderful to hang out with family and relatives.

Especially tamil nadu, kerala, bangalore, lakshadweep, etc/...

    Thanks

Incredible india is the best of all tourism departments.

  12. Kerala, known as GOD'S OWN COUNTRY, is the best tourist spot in all over India.  Its natural beauty, especially in the Rural Areas, and innocent and sincere village people, their hospitalisation, every thing will attract you, and you will need to come over here every year.

Especially during monsoon, of course Kerala is the best in South India, starting from first of June and  upto the middle of September.

The backwaters in Kerala is also an added attraction for the tourists.

Must visit districts in Kerala are "Kottayam", "Alappuzha" & "Ernakulam". Kumarakam in Kottayam Dt is a fantastic location. Have a visit over here and feel the enjoyment yourself.

  13. The best place to visit during mansoon is kerala, the land of backwaters. where you have many options to see the rain from different place. visit munnar, waynad, theakedy, ponmudi , thenmala and stay in back waters will be too much worth for your money

  14. the best place to visit in india  is ooty it is in south india, it is a hill station, i have that experience last year, we visited  during monsoon very romantic place this called as queen of hills stay in dotabetta in rains is another pleasent  eating icecreams watching the valleys and its beauty and speccially the rose garden  with beautiful variety of rosses with rain drops on it i cant forget that trip in my life   people become a poet when you visit the place in monsoon, you can ask me that hill station are romantic, what is new in that , but the difference is visit that romantic place in a monsoon which will be a forgetable place in your life it is a heaven in monsson no other word than this

    thankyou

  15. KERALA, on the southwest coast of India is the best place to visit during monsoon. The southwest monsoon generally enteres Indian peninsula by the first week of June and it enters Kerala coast  first, then moves on to Karnataka, Goa and Northern Indian plains. Plan your trip by the middle of June. A road trip from Bangalore to Mysore, then through Wynad forests to Kerala via Calicut, Trichur, Ernakulam to Trivandrum will be a truly romantic experience. God's own country, Kerala will be a heavenly experience during monsoon. You can stay at Kerala Tourism Developement Corporations hotels, motels and resorts with clean Kerala food. Rice and fish curry and Malabar chicken and Malabari Biryani will be wonderful culinary experience. Never forget to taste the Karimeen fish from Kuttanad Lakes. You can also savour mussels fry, prawns and a variety of sea food along with traditional kerala dishes like Vellappam, Puttu and Kadala curry. Monsoon is a wonderful time to rejuvanate your body through Ayurveda massage treatment. But beware of many spurious Ayurveda centres. Better stick to reputed Ayurveda treatment centres like Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal (Malappuram Dist), Santhimadom, Vaidya Ratnam at Ollur, Trichur and few more reputed Ayurveda centres. The Taj Malabar, Calicut is a nice place to stay and enjoy the Ayurveda massage treatment if you are not very concerned with your budget.

A trip to Wild Life sanctuaries in Wynad ( on the Bangalore -Calicut route) and also in Thekkady and Munnar will be an unforgettable experience. Spending a week in Kumarakam , with Kerala House Boat in Vembanad Lake , though a bit expensive is also an unforgettable experience. And to top it all stay at KOVALAM Beach to watch the monsoon sea.

  19. I feel that Kerala is the best place to visit during the Monsoon.  The monsoon adds to the beauty of Kerala when its traditional water bodies like backwaters, thousands of ponds, lakes, small rivulets and streams and 44 rivers capture nature’s bounty and turn the narrow strip of Kerala, sandwiched between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats, into a water-land. The monsoons have turned the Western Ghats a lush rain forest and made Kerala one of the wettest regions of the world with mist and humidity contributing to a micro-climate.

  20. There is no place  to visit alone during the monsoons in India or even in the world.   Yes, there are many places to visit during monsoon ALONG WITH YOUR BELOVED and the best places are :
