  1. Ok, the way I see it, there are two options.

Palma Nova would probably get my vote. The reason being is that it's a relativley short transfer from Palma airport for everyone, the beach is lovely and although it's right next to Magaluf with it's clubs and bars, PN is slightly quieter and less fraught. Older people have been going for years and it's a real British Favourite!

The teens will love it because it's cool, they can go to the nightlife in Magaluf (PN has it's fair share too) and the elderly will love the promenade, the beach and the shops.

Chose the accomodation wisely and they will have the best time there! I promise you that there trully is something for everyone in Palma Nova/Magaluf and it can be as busy or as laid back as they want it to be.

Alcudia would be my second choice, but it's in the north of the island and further away from the airport. I'm thinking elderly after a flight with bored teens who just want to "get there" might be a bit of a pain as the transfers are another 90 minutes plus from Palma.

The beach is great in Alcudia, it's family orientated but not quite so cool with the teens. Great for younger families, teens might be ok, the elderley will be ok but I still think that if you can get just the right deal. Palma Nova is the absolute best choice!

Best way to get it at a good price is DIY. easyjet flights, with accomodation seperatley- ESPECIALLY if they want to go S/C

    www.easyjet.co.uk

    Then for transfers & accomodation

    www.medhotels.com

    www.holidaybrokers.co.uk

All the very best of luck.

  2. Majorca is full of sports opportunities, especially of course, in the ocean. One of the most popular is jet-skiing. Jets Marivent in Palma is stocked with jet-ski rentals, boats, equipment, and ATVs. Jet-skiing around Majorca does require a boating license however, and without one, limitations are set for your boundaries.

Sea Kayaking is becoming very popular due to the calm crystal clear waters.  Also canyoning and some top class climbing can be done on the island. Companies like  www.tramuntana-pursuits.com based in Palma offer  English qualified instructors for a range of adventure activities like these and for the more experienced, kit hire is available.

Wake-boarding lessons are available for the ultra-ambitious, check out the Cala Nova School in Cala Mayor. The Es Trenc or "nude beach" in Majorca is particularly known for wakeboarding.

Scuba divers can find everything they need and novices can get lessons at Scuba Mallorca and Planet Scuba. The clear waters and natural underwater caves make diving a tourist favorite.

Golfers may enjoy the beautiful landscape and the challenging 18-hole course at Son Vida Golf.

Cycling has recently become very popular on the island. Pro Cycle Hire is a great pick for rentals and tours. Walking tours are also a superb way to check out the scenery and get some exercise. All fitness-levels are welcome for a range of tours at Mallorca Walking Tours. To add a little incline to your walk, try Mallorca Hiking Adventures and take advantage of the island's 4,000 feet cliffs and ocean views. This tour will get you to see some of the indegenous birds of the islands and even 3,000 year old burial caves.

    =)
