Question:

What are the best plants for an office/workspace?

My new office is like a jail cell with no natural light and blaring overhead lights. Since I spend so much time here, I want to liven the place up with some plants and dim the lighting some with few floor lamps.

What type of plants (outside of cactuses) would do well in this type of environment?

  1. Bromeliads, Peace Lily, Lucky Bamboo. and a new one for me ZZ plant.

I have been growing these under the conditions you mentioned. There are a lot of plants that will do well in these conditions but these are my favorites.

Bromeliads need bright light but do well with artificial light.
