  1. In Coney Island (all these restaurants are within two blocks of the Stillwell Avenue Terminal station (last stop on the D, F, N, and Q trains).  There is a lot of construction going on, so there aren't too many restaurants there yet.

Nathans, Totonno's Pizza, Garguilio's, Footsteps Lounge (very good Jamaican food).  Carolina's is closed for a few years and a terrible all-you-can-eat Chinese place opened there.  There is absolutely nothing worth eating in Brighton, but, if you go to the next neighborhood, there are several good restaurants on Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay.  (Lundy's has closed, but the Japanese hibachi restaurant in that building is good), Mambo Sushi is on the next block as is Randazzo's (anything with their red sauce, especially the fried calamari - that's wonderful).  Thai Orchid on Emmons near Bedford make great pad thai.  Further down Emmons near Nostrand Avenue is Maria's (shrimp francese is my favorite here) - they have an incredible $20 dinner Monday through Thursday before 7pm - with several veal and shrimp dishes as choices.  Also a few blocks further, on the water side of the street, Limons - a Turkish fish grill - every fish I've had here was delicious.  If you're not driving, you can take the B36 bus from Coney Island to all these restaurants.

  2. Its not like right near Coney Island but its pretty close. I get to this place through Breezy Point in the rockaways. The Irish Circle. Mmm! so good! Its a sports bar kinda place. You walk in and they always have horse races on where you can bet in the resteraunt. I always get their Caesar salad and they have a pretty good menu. Check it out.
