  1. I would definitely recommend Nike Jasari +

  2. You should go to a proper running shop in your area, they will get you to run on a treadmill and analyse your footstep (as we all have different kind of feet and run differently) and they will then help you choose the right shoes for you. It also depends on the type of surface you are running on.

  3. Go to a specialty running store and get fitted for one.  I swear by Brooks, but I have heard good things about Asics as well.  Brooks is mostly found in specialty shops or online and they hardly ever go on sale and they are pretty expensive (start at around $85 and top off at $135), well worth the premium imo.

  4. The micro Bounce  their really comfortable.

  5. see if you have a store called the running center. they are very good at testing your type of foot and what type of shoe you should wear. good luck.

  6. Go to a specialist running shop and ask them for advice and to try on the the shoes that they have that are suitable.

The reason that I say this is that the shoes that suit my feet might not suit your feet, for example, a size 4 Nike trainer might be a little larger than a Addidas size 4 trainer.

It is very important that you get shoes that fit you well - too small or too big and you can damage your feet (blackened toe nails, blisters..... which become even worse the longer you go and with the marathons you dont want your feet to hurt after 10 miles!!)

I am sure that you know all that allready though.

All good brands make a variety of shoes that suit most feet. Different cusioning, and cusioned for various ways of running (called pronation). When you go to the running shop take your old shoes with you and they should be able to analyse the wear patterns to figure out how your feet land and the best support and cuisioning for you.
