  1. by all in one i think u mean high schools that are called colleges example Campion College which is a high school. So The best high school I would say is St. Andrew High school for girls, absolute best with excellent pass rates in cxc csec and cape. Ive been going there for 6 years and in all my years there ive never witnessed a fight or anything violent. Teacher-student relationship is quite good  also and there is a very active PTA. mmm campion college is good too and i wont be biased Immaculate also (personally dnt like it but they perform well) Wolmers boys and wolmers girl also good schools.  All schools mentioned above are located in kingston by the way.

and dudette she sed she had a list of the schools already she wants opinions.

  2. St Andrew High

  3. There are no schools that are high schools and colleges all in one. The school name sometimes ends with 'college' like Cornwall College which is really just a high school. We have a few universities. The more popular being

    1. University of the West Indies - www.uwi.edu

    2. University of Technology - www.utech.edu.jm

    3. Mico College - www.themicouniversitycollege.edu.jm

    4. Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts - www.emc.edu.jm

    5. University College of the Caribbean - www.uccjm.com

We have many more...  http://www.universitycouncilja.com/ Some may be listed here. That is the accrediting body for college courses here.

As far as high schools are concerned we have a lot that are good. Most people send their children to the top within the parish that they live in. The top 10 CXC schools are usually:

    1. Campion College

    2. Immaculate Conception High

    3. Wolmer's Girls

    4. St. Andrew High

    5. Bishop Gibson High

    6. Munroe College

    7. Wolmer's Boys

    8. Holy Childhood

    9. Ardenne High

    10. Westwood High

This list is not in any real order. There are other schools that do exceptionally well and fall in the top from time to time. A factor to consider when looking at these schools is the fact that only the brightest kids get to go there so much of it has nothing to do with the school itself and their methods. Also have a look at the link below.

  4. Dudette, has the best overall answer, but i just want to make an important point:

    > When you ask which school is 'best' you could start a small war. Most of us will FIGHT for our alma mata.

    Edit:

I went to campion but i wont act as if there arent other good schools.

  5. mobay comunnity high skool!!

  6. I have to be biased and say St. Andrew high. ;)

In truth there is no best school. You find that traditional 'uptown' schools do better than most others. There are too many reasons to list why this is so. It all boills down to the resources of the school as opposed to what parents can/ try to afford. I believe all students have the potential to be great.

This is probably straying from the point, but the only time I'm impressed with a student's performance (full scholarship for a university, etc) is when they have everything working against them (like an absent parent, living in a volatile area, etc). Uptown kids that have personal tutors, five different extra lessons, everything for their comfort and parental support have NO excuse not to become great. (Not saying I had those things, I just went to a great school.)

  7. When you are asking about school and what schools are the best you have to be specific. First off I went Camperdown aka Cdown. There are a lot of great schools in JAmaica but everyone is going to say their schools is the best school. To be honest there are a lot of great schools in Jamaica. Camperdown, St. Andrew for girls, Wolmer for Boys and Wolmers for girls, Immaculate, Holy Child Hood, Alpha, Kingston College ( it is an High school), Jamaica College( It is an high school). They are all good and they are all high school. This is just to name a few.
