I've had the Cleveland CG2 irons for awhile and they're pretty good, but i want to upgrade. What are good other semi-blade irons? Mizuno MP-60, MP-57, Titleiest 695 CB, Nickent 3DX PRo? I'm a 12 handicap

  1. Go with the titelist 695 cb.

  2. I don't know anyone who didn't hit the MP 57's from mizuno and didn't buy them. Ive got mine, Are you gonna go get yours?

  3. Titleist DCI 990-B - They are wonderful clubs! My friend uses them and has never had a complaint or ( bad club smashing round)! They have a lower center of gravity  which helps with making the ball flight higher. Particularly if your having trouble with your low irons, these are good. What is so good about them too is that you can feel out your shot better.

Have fun looking for some good irons..! I always love trying out new clubs..

Also Callaway x-14 pro series is similar

  4. In your ability and price range you should definitely be looking into custom clubs. They are of equal or superior quality of off the rack clubs, are will fit your swing better.

I play with a set call Evolution from KZ Golf. They are a forged, blended set where the long irons are more like cavity back, and the short irons are like blades. I think they'd be a set you'd probably like as well. Do yourself a favor and at least go check them out.

  5. noone can tell you whats the best i have used titliest for years i have the 690 mb blades right now and i am going to buy the 695's this year but whats good for me might not work for you just try them all and see what feels the best you'll know the ones that are right after a few balls with each club

  6. aaaaahhh!!!!  I was lie too, they told me they don't make semi-blade irons!  arrrrrrrr  there are only blade or fat back irons and no semi-irons. aaaarrrrrrrrrrrr

  7. I believe ping s58 is suitable for u

  8. I'm a ten index and I changed form Titleist 681 to PING S58 without sacrificing .

  9. They don't make them anymore, but you can find quite a few used sets - Calloway Forged X-Tour.  They aren't really "semi-blades" as you refer to them, they are true forged blades, but they have a cavity, a lot of perimeter weighting, and weight in the sole.  Very workable but they are on the heavy feeling side.  If you like a light weight clubhead they may not be for you, but an excellent club overall.

  10. Best is all a matter of preference.

I love the new Taylor Made R7 TPs, they just dropped to $800.

    Macgregor M685, is a nice set, $300.

Your Cleveland’s are nice, why are you “upgrading”?
