My son is 17 months and of course doesn't like regular shoes. I never make him wear them, especially because it is hot now. He wears sandals and slippers with straps.

This winter he won't be able to wear slippers it will be too cold. He is walking everywhere so i'm wondering if soft soled shoes would be good enough. They seem the most comfy, but i'm not sure about protecting his feet.

What shoes do you use for your 17 month old?

(last winter he didn't walk yet and he usually just wore thick socks)

  1. check out preschoollians, they are flexible with a rubber sole and are great for outside.  I love them.

Edit.....I also like robeez but you need a hard sole for outside during the winter, their feet will get wet with the soft sole.  I like the tredz they are nice.

  2. Get him some Robeez! My son LOVES his! He has 2 pairs =]

    Here, check them out:

They come in sizes 0-12 months, 12-24 months, 2-4 years.

They last a long time and are very comfortable! They can be worn with or without socks. They are great summer & winter shoes!

You don't have to buy them online, *most* department stores sale them.

They even have generic Robeez at Target under the name brand Circo! =]

.. (the Target ones are only $12 a pair :)

  3. i really love the robeez brand.  they are pricey, but they last a long time and they retain their value for resale.  they have a new line called "tredz" that is great for outdoor wear.

  4. Go to Stride Rite.
