  1. There are two huge shopping malls just outside of London, Bluewater and Lakeside. Harrod's in Knightsbridge is very famous and awesome. Oxford High Street and Regent Street are also great for shopping. Camden district and Portobello Road  are great for more antique, and/or unique items.

I quite like Canary Wharf as well. It's more of a business area but there is decent shopping in the buildings around there.

  2. Bluewaters & Lakeside both on the outskirts of London to the East. They are really in Essex

  3. There aren't really any malls at the moment... the best shopping mall is probably Brent Cross, but that is tiny by most standards.

So stand alone shops are where most people do their shopping, like Harrod's, Selfridge's or John Lewis, especially around Oxford Street.

Late this year a Westfield is opening at Shephard's Bush, which will be absolutely massive and have loads of shops, cinema, food court etc.  They're an Australian company, where I come from in Australia they're very popular so when the one opens here it will completely change the way people in West London do their shopping!

  4. Harrods.
