  1. Buenos Aires city, Patagonia, Iguazu Falls, the wine region (Mendoza and San Juan) the North West (Salta and Jujuy), but you'll have to pick because the territory is vast and distances are long.

For a first time trip I would recommend Buenos Aires (at least 5 days) and Iguazu Falls (another 3 days) or Patagonia (at least 10 days to visit 3 main points: Perito Moreno Glacier in Calafate, Usuahia and Peninsula Valdes with internal flights).

I don't recommend Iguazu Falls during argentine summer (it can get really hot and humid)

  2. - The Iguazu falls, the iguazu river plunges over a 70 meter drop making 275 separate water falls. It's a UNESCO world heritage site

    - The Petito Moreno Glacier, the only glacier in the world that is not receeding, but is actually growing and calving off huge chunks as it grows. Also a UNESCO world heritage site.

    - Valdes peninnsula home of the worlds largest colony of magelen penguins, also home to whales, seals, sea lions.

    - The lake region of Bariloche

    - Buenos Aires, the Paris of south america

    - the Jusuit Missions of the Guaranis, another world heritage site.

    - to name a few.
