  2. Duomo (cathedral), Baptistry and Bell tower

    Galleria degli Uffizi

    Galleria della Academia

    Palazzo Bargello

    Palazzo Pitti

    Chiesa San Lorenzo/Medici tombs

    Ponte Vecchio

Chiesa Santa Croce (lots of famous Italians buried here!)

  3. my top 3 places in florence would be:

    1.  the boboli gardens - simply beautiful and really removes you from the bustle of the city.  we spent an afternoon there and just explored the pathways and took in the sites.

    2.  the duomo - while i huffed and puffed up every 400+ stair, i couldnt believe i paid 6 euros for it.  but when we reached the balconies under the decorate dome and then finally reached the outside, top of the duomo, every euro was worth it.  the art inside and the view outside are not something i will find every again.  i intend to hike it up there again, next time i am in florence.

    3.  the streets - we loved roaming the streets and finding the outdoor markets, little shops, places to grab a snack, and just enjoying the architecture.  i felt like i was in another time and just something completely different than what i had experienced before.  getting lost only added to the fun!

  4. Google it!!...sorry this isn't very helpful but it's true. Good Luck!
