  1. I would suggest checking out several brands.  Fi Car Audio, the BTL Line would be a good choice, RE Audio makes some decent woofers.  The x*x line and MX line are the heavy hitters.  DD Digital Dimensions audio makes some very decent woofers as well.

Ported is probably the way to go.  Check out Steve Meade's BTL's in his Tahoe....probably the best combo I've seen in a while....

  2. I agree with everyone here, but If you want all around BASS...get some subwoofers, Look into Fi,Re,DD,audiopulse,etc...all excellent for SQ & SPL.

Jl audio is nice, and the w7 will shred, but in my opinion waaay overpriced.

And kickers are good but have sh*ty Sq, but alot of Spl.

And for mids and highs get some polks, kickers, jl, alpine,etc...or you can even look into DD audio, just go to there website..

But be sure if you get all this, to get a good amp, and if over 1000 watts, do the Big 3.

    Hope I helped.

  3. For big bass look into RE AUDIO, x*x any size. They make W7's scream uncle, actually the W7 is not even in the same league.

  4. Subwoofers would be the best choice for bass.

  5. with older American cars you don't have to worry about to much bass ripping up your car because the car is mostly met and fabric none of that fake plastic snap on pieces that can ruin your acoustics. so go ahead throw some 15's in the trunk and let it beat up your trunk also you should get some damping materials and just reinforce your car if your looking to get big bass.

  6. 1000w jackhammer

  7. Put some polks in there. Measure the diameter of the fronts and back speakers and then order the newest type that they have. Check their website for the listings and prices, then go to google and get the speakers for half price anywhere. Probably should get an amplifier, but then it would get pricey and complicated. If you have an aftermarket headunit that would help also with the volume and quality. If you want bass though, get subwoofers. If not a lot of bass, then get a decent single 10", but if you really want bass, go with like a kicker 15" L7 subwoofer.
