  1. johnsons silver spoon...not sure about the weight my doesnt say. i have cought several texas reds and specs with this lure


  2. Johnson sprites are good. My other favorites would be the Tony Acceta's by LuhrJensen and the Bagley Hammered spoons.

    I like them in 1/4oz gold the best for reds out on the shallow flats.

    If your in deeper water with a bunch of shad around, I found a silver and blue 1/2oz Bomber Jigging spoon to work great.

  3. Bagley "hammered" gold spoons.  They reflect more light, draws more attention.  I only use them for reds, though, and as a last resort.  I know they are supposed to be good and some people swear by them but I have better luck with topwaters like the spook jr's and skitterwalks, and mirrolures.

  4. what are specks and reds and why do you want to catch them?  do you have to catch them all?
