What are the best strings for a epiphone sg?

I like Ernie Ball strings, as far as gauges, i use 10 gauge, 12, etc, these higher gauges give a more full sound that your probably looking for in your metal playing

Get Elixer brand guitar strings, they are anti-rust, nano-web coated, and last 3-5 times longer than any other guitar strings...I use Medium gauge which are .11-.49 and i can play anything from blues, to metal, to classic rock with them... I will never use another brand on my gibson or prs

I have an Ibanez guitar. I don't think it goes according to the label and model of the guitar.

I usually use D'addario strings. Try number 9 for 80's stuff. If you want to play sth hardcore, you can take number 10, so that the sound will be kinda harsher or sth.
