  1. Depending on how much money you have; the North Shore is lovely... anywhere along the North Shore, the northern beaches, St Ives, Mossman, Manly, lots of cool places..

  2. Definately stick with the north or the east, the south is ok if you plan on getting a southern cross tattoo, sticking australian flags up in the windows of your house and in the back window of your car, and want to join the mentality that the Tarren Point bridge connects the 'shire' (as it is affectionately known) to the rest of the world and must be avoided at all costs. Oh, and that anyone who lives 'over the bridge' (as shire residents refer to) is completely unacceptable.

  3. North and east are both fine. The south can be a bit dodgy. Definitely avoid the west and south-west!

  4. The North and East may be a bit too expensive as those areas are the richest parts in Sydney.

I suggest suburbs such as Hurstville, Rockdale, Beverly Hills, Kingsgrove which is in Southern Sydney. Those areas have many families.

I'm from Bankstown (southwest) actually and it's not as bad as how others think. It's an alright area.

  5. any of the suburbs on the northern beaches are a good place to live and raise kids. Particularly ,suburbs like  Mona Vale, Newport, Warriewood, Avalon

  6. manly. the inner west is good too

I laugh at these people saying the west/south west is dodgy. the east is just as dodgy!
