I am going on a vacation to Vancouver and I was wondering what are some fun things to do with my family (2 parents and an older sister) that are also price conscious.

  4. here are some tips and suggestions:

    go to Stanley Park!!!

you can hike, bike, just lay down on the grass, have picnic and basically, do just about anything there!!!!

    the place is truly AMAZING!!!

There's the Brockton Point Lighthouse, Totem Poles and Prospect Point, where you could have a great view of the Lions Gate Bridge and Grouse Mountain from the top of Prospect Point.

You might also want to consider going to Cypress Mountain and watch the beautiful sunset from there. It's only 30 minutes away from the heart of downtown Vancouver.

It also offers one of the best ski resorts in town!!!

It'll aslo be fun to visit Gastown's Historical Steamclock, which was designed and built by Ray Saunders in 1977. It belches steam and hoots out the famous Westminster chimes "Big Ben" theme!!! i love it!!!

you could also spend a perfect day at Granville Island.

Granville Island lies below the Granville Street bridge. The public market has everything you need and the island also offers lots of places to dine.

You could also bring your dog and jog on the beach of Vancouver Downtown.

the beach is not good for swimming but it's really nice to see in Downtown.

You should also dine at THE EATERY... The Funkiest place for Japanese food indeed!

    hehehe yum yum!!!

Walk around the structure of Canada Place to get a good panoramic view of the city!!!

    fantastic!!!

Don't miss the Capilano Suspension bridge too!!!

It is said to be Vancouver's oldest tourist attraction, which was originally built in 1889.

It stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above the Capilano River.

Go and visit the Lighthouse Park too, if you have more time.

It contains the largest uncut, coastal-elevation trees in the Lower Mainland, which a spectacular view!!! This is within a 10-minute walk of the parking lot.

Also, ride a ferry (about an hour and a half) going to Victoria Island to complete your Vancouver experience!

It is said to be the vacation capital of Canada.

Go to the Parliament building to have a good view of marina; then, have a tea break at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. It is one of Victoria's highlights, with its true British tradition and atmosphere!!!

Before going back to the city, have a soup and salad at Pagliacci's, which is very popular to the locals for is great pasta, desserts, and wonderful ambiance!!!

  5. I went to vancouver a few years back and I'm going again in a few weeks there is tonnes to do!

How about hike up grouse mountain (not something i would recommend if you are not with someone who knows where they are going) but if you can't hike up there is the cable car that take you up it is amazing up there!

Stanley Park - take a stroll it is gorgeous!

There's Vancouver Aquarium it's not cheap but it isn't the most expensive place in the world.

A Sea Safari from horseshoe bay - I think i cost about $12 when I went so the price could have gone up but that is good too you get to see seals up close.

Or go and visit whistler! it's a little gorgeous village! and on the way there you pass the most beautiful scenery.

An back in vancouver there is Gastown where theresis the steam clock and downtown vancouver there is Robson street I think thats right so if ya like shopping thats the place to go!

Capillano Bridge! - is cool too it's cheap as well its a wooden suspension bridge u walk across and into a temperate rainforest.
