What are the best things to eat right before a cross country race?

I always have the hardest time trying to figure out what to eat AND drink in the morning just an hour before about a two mile race.

  1. Water! Pasta, noodles, potatoes, lots of carbs.


  2. drink water & eat fruit.

    Since your running an hour after eating, you really don't want to eat too much or you'll feel nauseous when running.


  3. Water for hydration, carbs to fuel you like oatmeal is the best plus its got a lot of protein in it.Also eat protein and fruit. This is what I eat before a sport. 2 slices of whole grain toast and a 4 egg omlet with ham and cheese then a glass of OJ sometimes ill eat some oatmeal with it also just for extra carbs but the absollutely best energy food is watermellon it hydrates you plus its high in sugar.

  4. if it was me i would have some fruit probably an apple depending what you like and i would jjust drink water if it was me
