What are the best things to put into my car to make it sound great! i like bass but im about the vocals too?

ev's are koo but what can i afford? whats the best sub's and etc the stuff i have now, the 6x9's cut out and in when they want and the only speakers that stay on is the passenger side door in the front and the subs in the trunk. any advice on how to fix it before i buy new stuff?

well for the cutting out, it sounds like bad wiring or your head unit mite be shorting out.
