What are the best thoroughbred racetracks to follow in the month of September?

East Coast will be the Belmont Fall Meet, West Coast the Oak Tree Meet at Santa Anita. Del Mar and Saratoga both close on September 1st (last day of racing).

Fairplex happens after Del Mar.  Oak Tree happens end of Sept/ beginning of Oct.

Through the first part of September, Saratoga and Del Mar will still be open.  They'll have some major breeders cup preps.  Then Saratoga will close and Belmont will open... then we'll see the Jockey Club Gold Cup which is always a good race... usually some of the 3 year olds face older horses for the first time.  Del Mar will close and the Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita will start.  Pay close attention to Santa Anita since they're hosting the Breeders this year... horses will be there getting a feel for the surface... the Breeders preps will be important to watch.  CA and NY are two of the most important states to be watching as we approach Breeders Cup time.
