What are the best tips for first time job seekers

i'm a resident alien here in the US and i'm looking for a job. i have a BS degree in biological science back in my country but most jobs i have found in that category either require experiences or expect backgrounds that i don't really have or master. so i guess i would have to settle for small part-time jobs first to help me adjust in this place. i'd really appreciate some tips. tnx :)

(btw, resident alien sounds funny. reminds me of resident evil, hehe)

In the US, you have to send out a lot of resumes to get good interviews. Eve when you see an ad that asks for experience you don't have, send it in anyway if you are very interested in the position. For small PT jobs, just apply and be friendly. Good luck!
