I want to move close to NYC, in an inexpensive town with a good school system, it can be NJ or NY. I work in NYC, and have two middle school kids.

  1. def. check on bergen county, nj

many people live here cause of the cheaper housing, excellent schools, and very close commute to the city. i live in bergen county and it takes 15-20 min to get there taking the bus.

the housing in bergen county can be expensive in some areas,

but it is much cheaper than nyc.

the towns with the best public schools are:

    tenafly

    ridgewood

    mahwah

    ramsey

  2. Mendham is a pretty neat town to live in, it's onlym 60 miles from NY and it's very homey.

  3. Right over the GW bridge are Fort Lee, Leonia, Bagota New Jersey.  Buses in these towns run into Manhattan.  Leonia has a 98% of High School graduates attending a 4 year college.

  4. A friend told me Long Island is a really neat place.

    You could try there!
