  2. You can hire some for a small fee onboard most ships, just go to the Purser's desk in the first couple of days. I doubt you would get a signal for anything you bring with you. The easiest option is to set up regular meeting times, get the kids to 'check-in' with you at a designated area.

  3. Any FRS or GMRS radio will work just fine.

    However, be mindful of your fellow cruise passengers.  Just like with a cell phone, there are times when radios are disruptive and using them can be considered rude.

  4. NONE, they are annoying as c**p to your fellow passengers.  Try doing it the old way, everyone mark up their daily what's happening paper and plan on meeting at a designated time and place.
