i love the 'hobgoblin' pub, it's very 'metal', dj's, live music, friendly metalhead atmosphere ha ha! http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus...

...and my personal favourite is the 'heart and hand' pub in the north laines. cosy 'northern soul' pub with an amazing jukebox. always full of punks, mods, and oldies, great place to chill and listen to some tunes... http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/2...

i suppose you have to be 18 for most of those, but not sure about the barfly gigs, check the website i guess...
