What are the best videos and books for teaching yourself kick boxing?

There doesn't seem to be many place teaching it in memphis

It depends on whay you want to learn it.  If it is for exercise then check out the web or books (amazon.com).

If it is for protection or actual combat there is no substitute for an actual human adversary.

So many self defense classes seem worthless in the face of an actual attacker. I would hate for you to put yourself in a bad position.
