  1. Work on your vertical...so lots of jump roping, practice blocking, hitting, tipping. Make a little muscle.

  2. I suggest looking on here for different answers. Lots of questions have been answered wonderfully. This question has been asked a lot so you will definitely find something.

  3. plyometrics!x3!

  4. As a middle blocker, you are expected to block on just about every attack.  This means balls hit by the other teams OH, Opp, and Middle.  You are going to jump a lot!!

The main thing I would work on is conditioning/cardio.  Running, cycling, etc.,...

I would throw in some intervals too.  If you're running on a track, consider mixing in some sprints with your runs.  If you're cycling, consider attacking some hills.  A volleyball tournament/match can be a long grueling game filled with lots of little spurts of energy.

Your coaches will be able to teach you techniques.  If you come in well coniditioned, it will be much easier.

  5. I'm super tired so Volleyball.com has some drills! conditioning: RUN!!

tips: DONT BE SCARED TO HIT THE BALL! go down swinging!!! you'll look better trying than just standing there watching the ball hit the floor b/c "oh that was her ball" treat every ball as YOURS act like the people on your team cant play volleyball so you try for every ball!

Excersizes: stretch.bycicles(lay on ground bycycle motions touching elbows to opposite knee).practice BUMP SET SPIKE!

drills: get a partner and bump back and forth for 3 minutes(thats what we do its fun!

    GOOD LUCK IN VOLLEYBALL!
