What are the best way to use central air conditioner?

Some people told me to put it on certain temperature and don't turn it on and off. Now, I only turn it on when it's hot and turn it off when it gets cool. My friends told me I'm using more electricity by doing it.....

Set it on ONE temp, and don't touch it. I.E., mine is on 75 and I leave. Got a cheap power bill too!

I have always heard that you should set it and leave it alone. I do it the way you do it though. They say that it has to catch up because the rooms got hot and that makes it run harder.

I live in florida and the best way to use ur AC is set it and forget it ... u will  use more energy turning it on and off and you will get a larger utility bill ... I set mine at 77 or 78 all the time good luck
