Accidently let a mouse in the house from the garage climed up the stairs and ran in and down to the lower level where mine and my daughters bedroom is. I don't want to trap it so what is the best way of killing it without using poision which is a no go since I have a 19 month old who likes to walk around down here.

  1. STICKY  trap  available in  chemical  section of  grocery.  ALL  rodents  will run same  trail over  and  over.  So  put it  where  you have  seen it  but not  where little  one can  get  it.  Several come in box.  Thenn just  bag  and  remove  from  house. *mamatx

  2. Put penut butter or caramel on the mouse trap you can even tie a thread through it very make a small loop if the mouse keeps getting away then its teeth will catch the thread when the trap snaps to keep it there.

  3. Here's some tips from me, buy mouse trap, or some shops have mouse trap by using glue. I have tried and it's worked. but, the negative side is, you have to throw the glued mouse to the rubbush by your self, or your house will be smelly.

another way is keep your food from dinning table if you and your family arenot eating again. Food or rubbish on your house will invite mice.

P.s, decoy them using food or cheese.

  4. Peanut butter on a old fashioned wood mouse trap, or you could get a metal cage thing used for catching squirrels (this won't kill it but then you can let it free), although I don't know if they make smaller ones for rodents.

    Good luck!

  5. get a kitty kat

  6. I have just solved my mice problems, I felt the same way about killing them so I bought at walmart a "mouse box" It will trap the mouse and you can let it outside (still alive). But keep in mind if there is one the likely hood of another is very great. So you may just want to put out some traps and kill it.

  7. Well I don't know if this would really work, but I read in the book called 'Magical Thinking' by Augusten Burrough, that he used a flashlight to flash it on and off in front of the mouses' face, that apparently gave it a seizure and killed it.

Like I said, I've never tried it, but it might be worth a shot

(Fantastic book by the way! Non-fiction)

  8. go to the a dollar store and buy snap trap and jar peanut butter if you don't all ready have get two shoe boxes cut tho holes on both end corners and place the snap-traps inside the boxes against the wall with the holes towards the wall don't arm the snap trap and cover the boxes with lids check the boxes the next day and see if the mouse consumed any peanut butter and if it did  arm reload bait (peanut butter) and arm the snap trap. if not maybe he is gone besides he's more afraid of you and you of him. and all for under 5  bucks why call the professionals

  9. You can purchase live traps now days just about anywhere.

P.s. They LOVE penutbutter no joke!

  10. get a shot gun or blow up ur house

  11. There are glue mouse traps which are very adhesive, so I'm not sure if that's very safe around your daughter. But that's really the only thing, other than traps, that doesn't use poison. If you are worried about traps because your daughter could accidentally trigger it, there are covered mouse traps, these work the same way but have a cover so infants/children can't trigger it.

    I hoped that helped.

  12. stomp on it

  13. I find cats useless.  a mouse trap set in a corner like behind a fridge or something like that is perfect.    Yeah the plain old one with the spring, mouse dead thing.   Put some peanut butter on the lever mechanism and overnight should do it.
