What are the best ways to get best my trust issues?

I am a young single mother. I haven't been in a relationship from my first month of pregnancy to now. I have been talking to this guy and we have been hanging out a lot. My son is always with us (my son is 7 months old) and this guy is great with him! My baby even reaches for him sometimes.

My last boyfriend, my son's father, left me for a younger girl and was cheating on me with her. I have terrible trust issues. Every guy, but one, since freshman year has lied and cheated. I have a feeling that this guy is different. He is Christian, he has a job, he's going into the air force and he is great with kids and we get along great! I just don't want to not trust him when he hasn't done anything wrong. How can I get past my trust issues?

Just because one man messed it up for you, put down your guards. From the way you write, I could tell your an intelligent lady. I understand how you feel because I too have been hurt before. I didn't let that stop me from seeing other people. It shouldn't hurt to give him a chance. Hey, you gave your baby dad a chance so why not. Just don't fall head over hills for this person so soon.
