What are the best zelda games?

Question

basically I have 2 zelda games called Zelda the minish cap and Zelda the phantom hourglass.

But most of the "mature kids" at my school who had systems like xbox 360 and had the weird skateboard harstyle are always talking about ocarina of time or twilight princess. Its like they dont even consider the games that I have to be even zelda games.

But it makes me wonder why those kids like the non cartoon zelda games better, because I think the minish cap and phantom hourglass are awesome games.

Most People will say ocarina of time but personally i think Twilight Princess is the best game. (the wii version)

The best of the Zelda games are so far are Twilight Princess and Phantom  hourglass.

Ocarina of Time is widely considered to be one of the best games ever created. It got lots of perfect scores when it was released, and people still love it today. The game radically changed the Zelda series and introduced a lot of today's "standard" elements.

Really, all of the Zelda games are excellent. I personally don't think there is any "best" Zelda game; it's just all based on your preferences. If you can find it, I recommend picking up a copy of the Zelda Collector's Edition disc for Gamecube. It has the original Legend of Zelda for the NES, Zelda II: Adventure of Link for the NES, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask all on one disc. Since it was only sold as part of a special bundle, it's a bit hard to find, but it's so worth it. The disc gives you a good taste of the series as a whole. If you get some Wii Points, it would be worth your time to download A Link to the Past as well. And all of the Gameboy ones are good too....

My personal favorite out of the series is Wind Waker. I love the artwork, and I think the story was very well done.

A Link to the Past is my favorite. I honestly haven't been able to get into any of the Zelda games since then, not sure why. I haven't played Majora's Mask though, I should probably check it out at some point.

I quite enjoyed Seasons, because it was just so mind boggling, and it really challenged me.  I think it was the first game I ever beat.  Minish Cap is probably my second favorite.

The only one Ive played is twilight princess and it was phenomenal. Ive heard from friends ocerena was very good too.

Those "Mature kids" are right, those 2 games are recognized in 80% of the world as the best Zelda game to date.

I have twlilight Princess, and i think it's a ton of fun. (i'm not a big video game person) I think all the Zelda games are great, but twilight princess is still my favourite.

Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess are my favorites.

Twilight Princess vs Ocarina of Time will always be debated though.

I side with Ocarina of Time because, although TP had some cool new features, it was a bit too easy in term of difficulty, and some of the items would never be used again after beating their respective temples (such as the Spinner and the Staff thing).

Also, better graphics does not equal a better game.

I enjoyed Windwaker greatly (maybe I should have put it on my list up there....)

The general complaint people have about Phantom Hourglass is that the puzzles and boss battles were too easy and sailing was too tedious.

Ocarina of Time is probably the best game of all time, however Twilight Princess improves on it in almost every single way, from improved combat, improved horse riding and vastly improved story telling, not as challenging as Ocarina but definitely improves on the formula,.

Majoras Mask is the most original and darkest of the series, it also has the most character and sense of you actually being in a living breathing world, as characters go about their business, the hand-helds where great the original gameboy version was a very different Zelda title with the oddest characters even goombas make an appearance in the dungeons.
