I believe misinformation is the biggest evil of all., especially misinformation that has been distorted and repeated so often that it has become truth.

Example...sperm dies the moment it hits the air, how many people have gotten pregnant do you think because they believed this often repeated fallacy?

  1. I thought this was not true

  2. I think the biggest pitfall to growing up safetly is bad parenting! Too many parents are either misinformed or just don't care/ Children need guidance and if a parent can't give it to them they will get it from friends. Friends are children too so that can't be a good thing kids guiding kids is like the blind leading the blind! Good luck all you kids, it's a big bad world out there and you are gonna need it!

  3. another misconception you can't get pregnant if he pulls out. i know in hs they tell you that is a lie but no one ever belives it. It is true you still can get prego even if he pulls out

  4. i think its people lying and getting into the wrong crowd

please everyone answer my question i really need help (by the way it is the one that i repeated)

  5. I think it's is other people influencing the enviornment. If you have 10 kids being raised properly in a class of 40 kids...then the decent kids are going to have a hard time. So to me right now (kids are young), I'd say it's other people.

And yes! Your right...Everytime I say that in the pregnancy section, I get tons of thumbs downs because everyone thinks air kills the sperm! It's live for as long as it is wet! It doesn't die untill it is dried up. So thus "hypotheticaly", could result in pregnancy if a man ejaculated on a toilet seat, and 15 mins later a woman sat directly on it....not common, but it is possible. No one belives that kind of thing though. It's nuts how many people believe air kills sperm, after pulling it online, the facts are alarming. What I though I knew about sperm/pregnancy/sexual contact...is right out the window now...researching the facts is very inlightening to how many things your told are dead wrong. Scary.

  6. I think it is lack of parental support and supervision. Too many parents let the TV be their child minder. Also, important moral values and just information in general are communicated to the child through friends and media RATHER than through parents. It is the parents duty to tell the child the truth before someone else tells them what they believe to be true.

Misinformation is definately a huge problem that could be tackled by more communication between parent and child.
