  2. The Yangtze River is the longest river in China as well as in  Asia and third longest in the world. Approximately 350 million people inhabit the region of the Yangtze.

    There is remarkable feature in China. In the Western Sikang province bordering Burma (Myanmar) & India 4 great river systems flow parallel in north to south direction within a span of a hundred miles. These are from west to east

    3. Mekong

    4. Yangze

    and a fifth one, Irrawady (between Lohit and Salween) starts a fifty miles to the south.
