What are the capabilities of my CPU?

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5Ghz

I recently got it (a laptop of course) and haven't really used it at all. So I am wondering what it is capable of and what PROGRAMS can I run on it smoothly and efficiently. Doesn't have to be exact but in general like "photo editing" "video editing" "video playback" "office applications" etc. I usually do a lot of web browsing and listen to music and watch movies on my computer. Does this CPU meet my needs? I have 2 GB of RAM. I was also thinking about doing a little bit of Photoshop.

You're getting capabilities mixed up with performance.  It's "capable" of running any code designed to use the IA-32 architecture, but that doesn't mean it'll run it well.  As far as performance, your CPU is pretty standard fare.  It's overall descent for just about any task though it won't win any performance records.

U'll get the best performance out of your dual-core CPU when U actually have the right software designed to take advantage of the dual core processor(s).
